C.O.R.E. Boot Camp program:
What is it?
The C.O.R.E. Boot Camp is an outdoor total body conditioning, strength training, weight loss program. You will be motivated and inspired to increase your workout intensity and have fun! Each hour class includes a walk/run to increase cariovascular endurance, active stretches to improve flexibility and muscular stability and bodyweight exercises to build strength and definition. The active games and drills provide further overall conditioning and fun to your workout.

is the instructor?
Fitness expert
Ewunike Akpan, a certified American Council on Exercise
(ACE) personal trainer and Cross Fit Level 1 Instructor provides the training
and motivation to achieve your fitness goals.

Where
is it?
Morning classes are held at Carter Barron on the soccer field. 16
th
and Kennedy Street NW. See attached

Evening classes are held at Turkey Thicket Community Center on
the baseball field. 1100 Michigan Avenue NE. See attached
Map.
Advanced notice will be given if the location is changed due
to weather or other circumstances.
How
long are the classes?
All C.O.R.E. Boot Camp classes meet for one hour.
The C.O.R.E. Boot Camp Running Club will meet on average for
one hour. Duration of the runs will vary
depending on the length of the training runs.
Is
there a fitness assessment?
Yes. To help you track your progress, monthly assessments of
cardiovascular conditioning, upper, lower body and core strength will be
measured. The C.O.R.E. Boot Camp is a
non competitive, judgemental environment.
The only person you’re competing against is yourself.
How
often do classes meet?
Group 1 meets 3x a week Mon, Wed, and Fri
Group 2 meets 2x a week Tue, Thur
Group 3 meets 1x a week Saturday
The C.O.R.E. Boot Camp Running Club meets 1x a week Saturday
